During the summer period Naviair expects to handle the air traffic without any major delays.
Minor delays can occur during peak hours, and is expected to reach the same level as the delays seen during the last month – meaning not more than 30 minutes.
The delays will first and foremost affect transit flights though Danish airspace, and to a less extent flights to and from Danish airports.
The cause of the delays is a general shortage of air traffic controllers. This problem is expected to be solved in the fall of 2008 as new air traffic controllers finishes their education – and starts full operational duty.
Naviair would like to take this opportunity to wish everyone a pleasant summer!
