NAVIAIR keeps a close watch on the EU efforts brought about by the Single Sky concept. In conformity herewith, it has initiated a co-operation with the other Nordic ANS, establishing a joint area control centre; efforts that aim at ensuring that traffic in the upper airspace over the Nordic countries is managed from one area control centre, i.e. the Nordic Upper Area control Centre (NUAC).
