From 3 September to 7 September 2006 Naviair hosted "Thales Users Group 2006" (TUG 2006) together with their Swedish Counterparts LFV (Luftfartsverket).
This year's TUG Conference was attended by more than 100 Air Traffic Service Provider delegates from 31 countries. The conference programme included 15 presentations by country representatives and by Thales staff. Topics on the agenda included the COOPANS contract signed in April by the Civil Aviation Authorities of Ireland, LFV, Sweden and Naviair, Denmark, and Thales. COOPANS is an innovative concept to develop a single common set of specifications and define a schedule of work compatible with the European Union’s Single Sky directives. Also up for discussions were SESAR, DATMAS (Danish Air Traffic Management System), CoFlight cooperation between French, Italian and Swiss Air Navigation Service Providers,) ATM vision and mission, and developments planned or expected in the next few years. |
