At 02:11 UTC on Sunday 28 September, Naviairs new Flight Information Centre Nuuk in Greenland was inaugurated.
At the same time, the new Flight Information Centre has assumed the activities from the Flight Information Centre in Kangerlussuaq.
The relocation was conducted according to plan with no inconvenience to aviation.
Since Naviairs Flight Information Centre Nuuk is located in the same building as Arctic Command, the ambition to locate Search- and Rescue Activities for the aviation together with the Danish Defence Centre for Search And Rescue at sea, has now been fulfilled.
For Naviair, the relocation will also ensure access to better IT-infrastructure.
