Carsten Fich has taken up the position as CEO of Naviair
Dato
02.05.2018

On 1 May, Carsten Fich (58) has taken up the position as CEO of Naviair. He replaces Morten Dambæk, who is retiring after serving 17 years as CEO of Naviair.

”Among the many tasks that Carsten now undertakes is management of Naviair’s co-ownership of Aireon LLC, USA. Aireon LLC will complete the set-up of the world’s first satellite-based global aviation surveillance system in the coming years. Naturally, Carsten has to ensure that Naviair undergoes the development necessary to face future challenges, keeping Naviair in its position as one of best air navigation service providers in Europe. We have found the right man for this. I am looking forward to working with him,” says Naviair’s Chairman, Anne Birgitte Lundholt.

Carsten Fich holds an MSc and PhD from the Technical University of Denmark (DTU). He has previously held senior executive positions in several Danish companies. In the period 2006-2015, he was CEO of Nordgroup A/S – formerly Kommunekemi A/S. He was also part of the management team at the Ørestad Development Corporation company for 10 years, where as COO, he took part in developing and commissioning the Copenhagen Metro and establishing the infrastructure in Ørestad.

At the same time as Carsten Fich assumes the position as CEO, the Board of Directors has appointed Naviair’s former CFO, Søren Stahlfest Møller, as Deputy CEO.

On 8 June 2018, a reception will be held for Morten Dambæk to mark his retirement.
