A Common Nordic ATM Service Concept - It adds values to our customers
- We are committed to position the Nordic region in the marketplace with a competitive service level, adopted to our customers’ needs at an attractive cost, whilst improving the quality of service and increasing the level of safety, say the directors from the six Air Navigation Service providers in Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Iceland, Finland and Estonia.
They have agreed on a Nordic Air Traffic Management Service Concept and will exploit their competitive advantages based on a strong regional tradition and cross border co-operation, and thereby provide added value to the customers.
Future Air Navigation Service provision in the Nordic region shall have no constraints due to the geographical borders. The customer shall also be able to fly the optimal routes in a harmonised airspace and any information related to an efficient handling of a flight shall be made available. In addition, the providers will work towards a higher level of transparency of the service provision and airport operations.
The Common Nordic Service Concept should be seen in the context of, and contributing to, the wider European and international regulatory and legislative environment – the Single European Sky (SES) and the European ATM Master Plan to be developed within the SESAR project.
